Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering
We are looking for a motivated and technically interested Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) – Foundry to join our Foundry Department. The selected candidate will receive practical training in foundry operations, metal casting processes, mould preparation, melting operations, and production activities.
The candidate will work closely with senior engineers, supervisors, and foundry technicians to ensure smooth production operations while maintaining product quality, workplace safety, and production standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers and supervisors in daily foundry operations.
- Support mould and core preparation activities.
- Assist in metal melting, pouring, and casting operations under supervision.
- Monitor foundry production processes and report abnormalities.
- Assist in identifying casting defects such as blowholes, cracks, and shrinkage.
Must Have
- Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of foundry operations.
- Understanding of metal casting processes.
- Basic knowledge of engineering materials and metals.
- Willingness to work in a foundry shop-floor environment.
- Observation and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of moulding and core-making basics.
- Basic knowledge of casting defects.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of sand casting processes.
- Basic knowledge of melting furnaces.
- Familiarity with induction furnaces.
- Knowledge of gating and riser systems.
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes.
- Previous foundry internship or apprenticeship experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Strong analytical skills
