Please observe below Clause Pattern:
SVOd: Verb + Object (= a perfect infinitive clause)
Below verbs can be used to form above pattern:
appear, claim, happen, pretend, prove, seem, tend.
E.g.:
1. She appears to have calmed down.
2. They claimed to have found a solution to the problem.
3. Things happen to have changed.
4. He pretended to have enjoyed himself.
5. The report proved to have been true.
